You can delete your ServeMart account and personal data at any time. This page explains what happens and how to ask.
How to request deletion
- Signed in: use “Delete my account” below (also in Account → Privacy & data). Deletion happens immediately.
- Can’t sign in: use the request form below. We email a confirmation link to the address on the account so only the owner can confirm. The link is valid for 7 days.
- By email: write to privacy@servemart.app from the email on your account. We will verify your identity and complete the request within 30 days.
Before we can delete
To protect the other people in a transaction, an account can be deleted only when it has no orders in progress (paid, accepted, shipped, delivered or under review) and, for Sellers, no payouts still pending. Finish or cancel them first; we will tell you exactly what is blocking deletion.
What we delete
- Your sign-in details, sessions and password;
- Your profile, saved delivery addresses, phone numbers, preferences and location settings;
- Your cart, saved items and followed stores;
- Your conversations (messages you sent to others are replaced with “[deleted]”);
- Photos and files you uploaded;
- For Sellers: your store is closed and removed from the marketplace, and products, photos, contact details, map location and payout numbers are deleted.
What we keep, and why
- Transaction records (orders, payments, refunds, payouts) for up to 7 years, because tax, accounting and anti-fraud laws require it. Your name, phone and address are removed from them.
- Reviews remain as anonymous ratings without your name or text.
- Information needed for legal claims, fraud investigations or law-enforcement requests, only as long as required.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days.
Records held by our payment providers (Stripe, MonCashConnect) are subject to their own retention policies.
